Jimmy Song is a Bitcoin developer, educator, and author. He's been programming since 1998, discovered Bitcoin in 2011, and has been an open-source contributor since 2013.
He is the author of five Bitcoin books, including Programming Bitcoin (O'Reilly Media) and Fiat Ruins Everything (Bitcoin Magazine Books). He hosts the Bitcoin Fixes This podcast and writes the Bitcoin Tech Talk newsletter.
Jimmy teaches Bitcoin programming through his Programming Blockchain seminars — live, in-person two-day courses where developers learn to build Bitcoin transactions from scratch using Python.

Born in South Korea, Jimmy moved to the United States at age seven. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan. His career includes VP of Engineering at Armory Technologies, Principal Architect at Paxos, and Venture Partner at Blockchain Capital.
